Hey everyone,

Had my MK5 on order now for 3 months I ordered it end of January, should be arriving in 4 weeks and I can't wait!.

I walked in looking scruffy (too long jeans all torn at the bottoms) t-shirt messy hair looking like I'd been out getting drunk all night. (possibly had) and asked for a test drive but there where no free slots so i booked one for the following weekend.

I finished work early 1 day that week and turned up in a suit and asked for a test drive... strange they fitted me into a 15 minute slot, that was enough for me to come back and say I will have one... I think I stunned the sales man as I'm 22 but I I don't think he thought I would buy one or afford it...

I have it fully loaded except sat nav and xenon lights (i cant justify 800 quid for them) and I have a nicer sat nav system in my wardrobe waiting for the Golf... any way really can't wait I had the car for 3 hours today and I kind of wish I hadn't cause as soon as I got into my mini (BMW cooper) I thought OH bugger this is slow....

I must say I am really pleased with how VW have made the car it feels so much better quality than the 3 series and the z4I tried from BMW and drove much better. I look forward to talking to some of you VW know it alls and tech heads to get the most out of this beast.

New shape like marmite? either love it or hate it... I love it.

Welcome, what's the colour, I'd have to go for black I think, and did you go for the larger 18" alloys?

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.
