Urgent Advice

I know I'm pushing my luck here, but someone may be able to help me out. The National Firework Heats are happening on the water just down the road from me tonight and tomorrow night, and I'm lucky enough to have a prime spot on a boat for photos..............but I aint got a clue what to set the camera on?
I have this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fujifilm-FinePix-S1500-Digital-Camera/dp/B001SN6XQS/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1313081203&sr=1-1&tag=vglnk-uk-c38-21
Along with a Tripod.
Any help with settings etc would be gratefully received.

Assuming you dont have a stand you want to find the balance between aperture, ISO and shutter speed. To give your shots more movement try decresing the shutter speed and uping the aperture (upping would mean decreasing). I would do some initial shots of the shore-line if it is lit up and try gaining your favoured settings from that. If you can get a tripod then......

he said he has a tripod
my tip would be to search through flickr finding firework shots you like and replicating the exposure, f stop and iso.
