2.0 gt tdi running lumpy

Hi all
I've just brought a mk5 gt140 and it seems to have a funny five minutes now and again and when you are sat in traffic it decides it wants to run abit lumpy .
Diesels love a good smoke ;-)

could be the dreaded injector/injector loom failure.

Could be the loom but not the dreaded injector failure as the 140 doesn't share the same Piezo injectors with the faulty component present on the 170. It could be normal wear and tear on the injectors.

I believed they were the PD unit injectors on the 140's and 170's? Only changed to CR piezo from 08 onwards.

The 140 were Bosch units and the 170 were Siemens Piezo units.

Has the timing belt ever been changed?
