Recommend me a netbook

The hp mini will do all of the above but might struggle with photoshop bud and yes your right the link to hp mini i sent is an older procesor but the difference would be minimal

I keep saying to her that it may struggle with photoshop, and I keep explaining that the processor won't be able to cope with it, but she's not understanding as to why her 4 year old dual core celeron can cope with it but this duel core Atom won't. After all they're both duel core so she says 

I'd love her to get a netbook though, means I can use it too.

lol women haha yeh mate i hear ya my netbook worked photshop fine and it was  a single core 1.6 with a ion graphics chip so im sure the hp would it will just be slower than a pc thats all but you could ask the question av forums

As long as it runs and is able to work it then it's fine, she's not bothered if adding an effect to an image takes 5 seconds longer as opposed to a normal pc.

Then go for it the hp is good and so are the samsungs i dont think you will beat the samsung battery though my missus has 1 for travelling and she gets 9 to 10 hrs of browsing on it

Cheers Damien. I'll look into the samsung but I think her heart is set on the HP she saw at PC world, she loved the feel and look of it  Again, thanks for all the help people

ive got a Samsung n150 Plus, fitted 2gb ram. arial atom n455 processor at 1.66ghz, 250gb hard drive

awesome battery life

copes pretty well with photoshop, especially once you seek out the upgrade for the touchpad drivers....feckin 'mare otherwise.

comes with windows 7 starter (most netbooks do) but upgraded mine to run windows 7 ultimate.


around 200 quid for one, depending on where you look

Went for the HP mini 210 in the end. The other half was a bit disappointed at first, she thought it was too slow and she didn't like the look of it (strange cos she loved it when she saw it on display!). Anyway I've ordered 2gb of corsair 1333mhz to go in it as it's currently got 1gb of 667mhz in it! No wonder it's so slow! Having played with it for a few hours I'm loving it (will love it more when the ram is in it) and I'm not wanting one myself! Although I wouldn't give it much use other than when I'm in bed to check a few emails/facebook or when I'm away somewhere, which isn't often. I may buy one for when I go to Brazil in November though....
