Great news Marlowe, still waiting for them to get back to me with their verdict on mine, been 2 and a bit weeks since it was inspected

Took me about 3 mate - the corrosion has actually spread by 3-4cm since the initial bubbling appeared (I suspect now the rust has taken hold it's just eating along the edge) so I've mentioned this also to my local dealer when arranging repair. They probably will just grind / treat / prime / paint / waxoyl, but I'm happy with this as long as the rust does not recur. When I take it in I'll ask if there's any fix / mod that they can undertake whilst the liners are off to prevent the issue recurring - if it's a 'DIY' fix I'll report back here for everyone else. :)

to stop the arch liner from rubbing again we put a bead of sealer around the inner edge of the wing after etch priming and high build priming then colour up laquer and waxoil.
