I got them from TPS so got a decent discount and I "think" they weren't much more than the faulty Boge Turbo ones I replaced...

Just found the invoice and £125.00 plus vat for the pair with 23.5% discount...

I also fitted new top mount, bump stops, bolts, ball joints etc....

Nice one, thanks.

I thinks this is the set im going to go for, either G60 or Bilstein with Eibach springs. Try and sell the coilies and strut braces to fund them.

Did you fit your ARB's yourself? If so, any tips?

G60 topmounts last just over a year TOPS with my harsh coilovers.

here are mk3 ones i fitted a few days ago.

Notice the seporate bearing. unlike the built in ones like the mk2.

About £20 each from VW on trade i think it was...

Are they a direct replacement onto normal shockies? The G60 top mounts should be fine with G60 or Bilstein dampers?

What coilovers you got?

Did the rear one... Simple to do... I bought all new bolts... Not worth the agro for what they cost.

Fronts - my garage did, as you have to drop the subframe again ordered all new bolts... You will need the drop links as Eibach dont supply them..

topmounts- Direct replacement. All you need is the bearing (21), the special nut (28) and the bush (25)

Thats IF you run coilovers. ^

If you run shocks/springs then I think you need early 1.4 mk3 spring top cups (similar to item 26). Dont hold me to it!

A good upgrade those mounts

You need the spring plate from vw or an early gti mk3 i think. I gave matey the part no but dunno if it was gti or 1.4 to be honest.
I pick mine up from vw tommorow 15 quid each, got the bearings and top mounts from b a b components on ebay. Cant wait to get rid of that slotted nut setup, it never went tight enough.
