Booked Florence (57, GTI) into my local dealer for next month for a minor service, brake fluid and cambelt plus water pump change.
I explained that the service was paid for and I wanted to pay for the rest by fixed priced, the lady on reception didn't seem to know anything and eventually was put through to the Service manager. This Lookers dealer does not participate in fixed price servicing although they sold me the orginal deal, they matched the £399 cambelt/pump change but brake pads and disks were more expensive.
After I checked the VW site, only certain dealers participate and this includes a Lookers dealership several more miles away.
As you can imagine I came away from the whole experience deflated, what a farce and certainly a confusing experience for the customer, when are VW and there dealers going to learn!
