I've read in the Golf user manual that there's a settings menu where convenience, lighting & vision and other settings can be adjusted.

It explains the way to enter this menu is, with the ignition on, press the 'OK/Reset' button on the wiper stork and then the down button on the edge of the wiper stork for 2 secs. This doesn't work for me. The manual doesn't suggest this is an optional extra. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

In the 'Settings -> Convenience' menu you can set the wing mirrors to automatically dip when reverse is engaged (helpful to avoid kerbing alloys).

Is this menu available on all MKV golfs?

Mine's an 04' 1.9 Sport TDI.

If you have highline computer there are these settings. Not sure if this can be set with midline computers

well i have auto lights, walk away etc, auto wipers, but the auto mirror adjust would be cool to enable if its possible

Should be codable via VAGCOM if not through the menu    It will depend on your Central Electronics module though

Your car will not have the memory module for dipping passenger mirror as it's build is before that feature was available. You won't be able to enable this feature in vcds either without hardware changes.

I have a 07 tdi sport and my passenger side mirror dips but cant get the driver one to do the same
