80bhp standard, not sure on the 0-60, but they're about on par with a 1.8 carb model in performance. Not had ours rolling roaded but I estimate its running about 120bhp now, and it only cost me about £45 to get it there! Its easily quicker than any of the 8v GTI's I've ever had, still does 50mpg+ and it will run on veg oil happily. I fitted a manual boost controller, blocked the overboost protector off, modified the injection pump governor, wound in the max fuel screw, and fitted a boost guage. Now runs 22psi and has done with no probs for about 6k miles, apart from the crank seal pissing oil out, but thats just wear and tear. I've also relocated the intercooler to behind the grille, however its missing the passenger side spot light as it leaves a big hole in the grille for lots of cold air to pass through the intercooler
