StusDUB's Golf MK4 1.8t AUM remap @ Carbon
« on: 08 August 2011, 15:52 »
I saw a post from StusDUB (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=189706.0) saying that he'd had a remap and that since having the remap the car had a flatspot, I contacted him to see if we could offer some help.

StusDUB came in for a quick consultation along with a few dyno runs to establish the current engine output and to give the cars drivetrain the once over to ensure that it was up to the custom dyno mapping that we would be doing

Dyno plots from the consultation:

Here's Stusdub's final dyno plot with CARBON software.

Stusdub's modifications are as follows:

N75J valve
007p (yellow spring)
K&N panel filter

Carbon remap

Std BHP = 155
Std Torque = 165 ftlb

Max BHP = 206.3
Max Torque = 245 ftlb

MAX is MAX not the biggest difference as superchips and other tuners do

The figures are amazing

StusDUB - the difference in mine has changed the way I look at these little golfs, the fact you can get 1/3 more power from a remap is brilliant, so yours must feel like a ROCKET with those BHP figures

My torque is there or there abouts, just need to sort my minor issues and I will hopefully be up there with you
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Still undecided, I'm going to go the FMIC and exhaust route first and then look into either a K03s or a K04
