This is what you get for cutting the police budget and giving half of them the boot. You get streets being unable to be controlled due to police being outnumbered 10:1. Bravo Mr Cameron, Bravo.

Nope.

To be fair, Gadaffi may have had a point bringing in small mercenary hit squads.

This.

I'd love to see some PMC involvement.

16,000 cops on the streets of london tonight....great. that might help to stem things in London, but its already been proved that theres potential for mass carnage in other areas of the UK tonight. My moneys on there being a lot of trouble in Birmingham tonight

its is rediculous!!

think my dads had the best idea, get the water canons out, but plug them into the sewers!! that'l stop the low life skum!!

f**k that, hook it up to gas canisters and burn the lot of them. and the government will save money by not having to pay there benafits anymore.

our police should be more like the ones in usa and places were there not scared there going to be put in prison them selfs.

There was a bit in Oxford last night (though the police are saying it's got nothing to do with the London Riots... the London riots have nothing to do with the London riots or anything else other than stupidity), the dumb f**k*rs tried petrol bombing a McDonalds which failed - where they hell would they get their next meal?! retards.

I bloody well hope the government pass an emergency law to deal with violent spontaneous riots and give the police the ability to deal with them in anyway they see fit. All this PC nonsense needs to stop. Anyone out on the street amongst the rioters should be dealt with as a rioter, any non-rioters should avoid the areas effected and take cover anywhere possible.

A customer has gone out on the streets to film this (they're a media, film & production company) and are staying behind the police cordons and have seen other journo's getting rioters to throw bricks and rocks for footage, sickening and just as bad as the voicemail hacking tw@ts.

One of my South African friends said on FB this morning the UK should draft in the South African Police service... I actually agree, they deal with riots very quickly with little regard for their own safety ... or the safety of the rioters.
