i picked up my GTi after i finished work yesterday, i had a 120 mile journey to get it, but it was worth it. having not driven a GTi since i had my mk4 1.8t, apart from a 10 min test drive of a few other mk5's, i was really looking forward to having a petrol engined car after my last 2 cars had been diesels (mk4 gt tdi & a4 cabriolet 2.5 tdi).
i drive for a living and had got to the stage where a diesel car was really putting me off going out in mycar, so i bit the bullet and sold the cabriolet and got myself a GTi, 2006, graphite blue, 5 door, 18" monzas, black leather seats, auto lights, auto wipers, cruise control, cd changer in armrest and a full VWSH as a bonus its also got 4 brand new continental sport contact 3 tyres
1st impressions are great, really enjoyed the drive home, had a bit of fun but not too mad as i was really tired. Hoping for the rain to stop some time today or tomorrow so i can get out and give it a good wash and wax and clean the inside, the dealers done all that before i collected it, but missed a few things
