hi guys anyone know the  tourque settings and sequence for the head bolts on a EW 1.6 petrol caddy mk1 cheers :smiley:

Fresh bolts? im not doing it properly you know  :rolleyes: ,any way matey came round with the haynes  ,tbh did think i was  goin to shear one off doing the final 180 ,well all sorted now. :smiley:

In a word, no, but the guy wasnt interested in purchasing new bolts, so its his bag if it dont last .

In a word, no, but the guy wasnt interested in purchasing new bolts, so its his bag if it dont last .

Not going to with old bolts, you were lucky they did not snap when you retorqued them.

New bolts only as rule.. Start from the middle bolts outwards, done in stages and each bolt is revisited. 40 Nm torque then 60 Nm then 75 Nm, then a further 1/4 turn.
