i remember goin in a mk2 mr2 v8, was slower than the turbo but the soundtrack was amazing, no other car has ever compared to it, engine thumping behind you is just the epitomy of blasing along a country road.

i demand pics!!!

Supercharger on a v8 is usually mounted in the 'V' of the engine so even a low rise set up needs to poke out of the bonnet, i've seen front and side mounted ones too but they need a lot of space in the engine bay .

Might be a Rover V8 which is light and tunable, would work great in a big fat supra.

What rover V8 is that?!??

They're right old heavy, hard to tune lazy motors.

The 3.5litres are anyway.
Project longterm Airbanger.

Your very wrong my friend, the rover V8 is a very compact and light motor (all aluminium) and can be easily and cheaply tuned to give good bhp, it's true they don't like to rev too high in standard form but with high rev lifters a decent cam and some alterations to the fuelling and exhaust you won't find easier bhp anywhere, only downside is that they are getting harder to find now and they are thirsty and not very eco-friendly.
Btw i've been using/tuning/rebuilding rover V8's since i left school.
p.s The only difference between a 3.5 and anything up to and including the 4.6 is bore size and the front pulleys.
