Vauxhall to move "upmarket"
« on: 04 August 2011, 17:46 »
This thread is full of LOL!

And I quote:

....."Chevrolet is an American brand with its own reputation and a goal of always being priced below the mainstream,” said Reilly. “In contrast Opel and Vauxhall are very European brands, with reputations for German engineering and pushing the boundaries of innovation."

Really?

Good news for Chuff though.

A good start will be to ditch the Vauxhall name for the Opel one. What sounds upmarket about the name "Vauxhall?" *In harsh cockney accent*

Well I think Vauxhalls have been alright, I don't see what's funny to be honest. Especially the Insignia, that does look rather nice.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

They are decent second hand motors. Definately not "upmarket" but neither do I think they are the dregs of the car world. French on the other hand! Had both by the way. Vauxhalls are cheap as chips second hand, and you get a decent standard of comfort. Buy new and depreciation will bite you in the arse. Be a long time and a lot of effort and step up in build quality before they can even  be considered as anywhere near German build quality, let alone be classed as "upmarket", if they ever get to that level. :undecided:

id rather have a frenchie than another vauxhall, only people who own vauxhalls are people who've only driven vauxhalls!

but i do like the look of the insignia, and i like how the alloys wheels are actually wheel trims on some models so if you kerb them its just a replacement piece, very clever.

the only reason anyone buys a vauxhall is because they are cheap... take that away and you have nothing.
