Darn, You got me. I dont actually own a golf, I just run round finding other peoples that I like, stick on a few mods and numberplates and then take some pics claiming that its mine. Cant believe you sussed me out!
Seriously though, there are v-much alike arent they. Add on a De-badged grille, lower 30mm and stick in some leather interior and I think we'll have pretty much exactly that same. Oh, and some eye-brows of course. Good job we dont live in the same area eh, otherwise that'd just be plain sad.

I'm gonna do the grille and leave it as that for the asthetics... lowered 30mm already  Not sure on eyebrows but was thinking of some crystal headlights... Not sure now after seeing some at the Donny show  :undecided:

Just got my induction kit last night, viper kit for £90... totally kosha  Then off to get it Superchipped.. yay! Have you done anything with the engine at all? If so, what and with what results?!

I feel like Joey with his hand twin... we could be famous!

Just realised though that we dont have the same wheels. They look the same in our sig's, but i've just looked at a post in the Chit Chat forum of your car and they are ever so slightly different.
Not that bad after all!

We havent done any engine mods at all, except put on an Eco Tech valve. There is supposed to be a slight improvement in performance, but we bought it for the improved MPG. Havent noticed anything drastic ourselves, but a few of our friends swear by them. The noise it makes is a bit annoying, sound like i've got a braking problem. Bit like a dump valve with a sore throat.  :undecided:
Probably wont bother with any further mods. We've put Induction Kits/Air filters on previous cars, and they have knackered most up. Totally killed the Airmass meter on my Xr3i so not gonna take that risk again.

Whats the Eco Tech valve?

Does it work in the fuel feed? If so its to boost the pressure etc.

I think it looks more blue with a purple tinge, the other half insists that its the complete opposite and keeps telling me its Purple.

Your opinions please...

I've always thought it was more of a purple, myself...

Mind you, mine's "Royal Blue", but when I got it everyone who saw it kept saying "oh, it's a lovely dark green colour!"

Although now I've had a go with the Meguiuiuiars Quick Clay stuff it definitely looks more blue.

Strangely fluorescent lights seem to bring out the best in it - never looks bluer and sparklier than on a petrol station forecourt at night - iirc Mystic Blue looks at it's most purple then, too?

Ah - hello by the way - I'm new here

No, it goes inbetween the pipe from the inlet manifold to the servo. It puts agitated air into the fuel system. They have been using them on F1 cars for years. Dont know exactly how it works and what agitated air makes, but it also lowers the emissions.

More details are at www.ecotekplc.com

Whats the Eco Tech valve?

goes on the brake servo hose into the inlet manifold, supposedly creates turbulence which helps burn more air/fuel mix making it more economical. i had one saw no difference, gave it to a mate and he thinks its amazing. works better on older mechanical injection or carbs to be honest.

sorry posted this at the same time but couldn't be arsed to re-write it!

A big hello to you too!
I like cars with a flip to the paint colour. Keeps them interesting I suppose.
