Im a bit gutted atm as a couple of weeks ago i came home to find some sh!tbag had stoved my smooth tailgate in with either a football or a foot. Not sure which but im proper wounded.
It's not moved off the drive since i had it sprayed as i wanted to have it all finished before it got on the road.Id just bought new leather, was bidding on some Porsche front seats etc and came home to find that!

Been parked on my drive nose out for weeks but i woke up one night to find some pissed up birds sat on the guys Golf across the road taking pics!
Proper dented it up!So i decided to turn mine round so it didnt happen to mine.
Well that was a mistake!

So i turned it back round and was mardy for a few days.Cant have the dent pulled as its on the swage line so its gunna cost £170 to have tthe glass out and resprayed.

To top it off a week after that happened some sh!tbag tried to nick my stainless backbox snapping the brackets! So now thats sat in my garage too!

Ive lost a bit of heart in the old girl and ive been messing about with bikes and things(Just bought a classic NSR125 to get to work on) so poor old Potter has been sat there having no attention.Apart from the engine conversion it's nearly there but every time i go out to do some work on it i just get disheartened and dont bother.

I dont live in a bad area(or so i thought) and i cant get it in the garage as its full of racking and all my tools etc.

Not much point to this thread just venting a lil and sharing the pain.

well get on the council and get another garage.

You read performanceVW? that has some bad storeys but they don't give up.

One bloke bought a brand new mk4 r32 in white. started to mod it and then had it stolen. then had it keyed. then had a tree fall on it.

Don't be put off by a dent dude

Wheres the passion man! Dont leave it on the drive all the time, get in and go for a drive. Find some winding country roads and go for a bash before you start the conversion. Get some love for it back, and then crack on enthusiastically! I Thought about breaking mine as its been sat without a lump for 2 1/2 months now! But Crane is booked for the w.end, and I've found the love again!!

Theres no council houses near me or garages that i know of so i cant get one of them.

It's not so much that ive lost interest, just a bit disheartened as i put hours and hours of work into that tailgate to get it perfect so it is pretty gutting tbh. :embarassed:

Just really riles me that you cant have something nice without someone wanting to fluff it up for you.Im half expecting to come home and find someone has keyed the fresh paint.

Just need a bit of a kick up the arse really.Just cant seem to get motivated on it atm maybe its becuase ive worked on it everyday solid for months on end or it is just the fact that some scrote has dented it.

Either way i need to get my mojo back

*Like your new sig pic btw Tweed

Been here mate

my legindary Swift GTI was my first car, i still own it and it means so much to me, i had it Porsche peppermint green in the 90's and i kept it as mint as i do my golf..

anyhow long story short, i was DJing in a nightclub and the car was outside under a camera in the most safest spot possible. i came outside and was greeted to every panel damaged by a bat and also all the windows smashed in

Camera was not working and nobody saw a thing !!!!!     absolutly killed me

but i picked myself up and the car was born again with a whole new identity (and a 5k bill)

hold the head up high is all i can say - and bat on

I know nothing like what has happened to you happened to me, however I spent a couple of months reconditioning the head on my 8v eventually getting it all times up and runnin.

Things were going sweet, the engine sounded brand new and felt a bit more responsive than it did before the belt went! Well 4 days after I got her up and running again the crank pulley sheared off, woodruff key was totally mangled! Propper disheartened due to this and now this weekend I'm swapping my 8v lump for a vr6! Just the thought got me excited but at first I just wanted to burn the bloody thing!

Just be positive man, it'll come back! I know its a kick in the spuds but just goes to show some jealous f**kkas out there mate!

Give it a wash and take it out for a good run with some good tunes playing, you'll soon remember why you own it.

This.

Spend a couple of hours making room in your garage, then get yourself a sh!tty old car and smash that on your drive.

Oh Cheers for sending the heater controls out!
