mk3 rear bumper

hi just brought new rear bumper any advice on how to remove the old and refit th new one would be greatful

ah ha somebody's been editing  :grin: right what you need is a 10 mm socket on a ratchet and possibly an extension bar for that size.

1. open the boot
2.look along the edge of the bumper where the bottom of the  bootlid would be over it (usually the grey plastic trim piece or colour coded if yours are indeed colour coded) find the 3 or 4 plastic covers in the trim work covering the bolt heads.
3. unscrew these bolts
4. look underneath the bumper to the left and right of the car somewhere there i believe are two other rusty bolts
5.slide the bumper off by pulling it towards you.

For another way look at your new bumper and determine where the holes are for the bolts and it will give you an idea as to where they are underneath

Also to make a newbie aware, this kind of information is easily found if you use the SEARCH function! :wink:
