Golfie's Proper Sick!
« on: 01 August 2011, 21:17 »
Hi,

[Not sure if this is the best place - mods please move if needed.]

My much loved 2009 GT140 has had it's first problem today; and been taken into ITU for a night of two! Went to start her and no joy; the proverbial Dodo! The Roadside Assistance chap was prompt and thorough, but could not pin down source of a 2 amp current draw from somewhere, when nothing switched on, which had flattened my battery down over yesterday and last night. It looked like control modules were communicating as you could see the current draw fluctuate very slightly. VAS couldn't help so off to hospital she went. I've been provided with a Match TDi for now while the dealer investigates.

Any one heard of this or similar issue? No mods to electricals or engine etc have been done. I'll do some searchin on interweb, but thought you guys would be best place to start.

Any info appreciated; as I;m a bit worried at the mo.

Cheers,
dieseldunc.
sssh; it's 'only a diesel'; but i love it!

I've had another member contact me via PM re battery drain too but on a 2010 GTI - gimme 5 and I'll see if I can call him - he has a RNS510 but was retro fitted.
