Hi,
My 8v gti has some problems.It is burning oil and smokes blue when engine is at running temp.Im not experienced enough to check myself what is wrong(thinking possible ring wear or valve stem seals) and want to get the problem sorted.I have only owned my vw for a few weeks and am not familiar with any local vw garages and dont want to get stung.
I would be most grateful if some forum members could recommend a garage that they have used and trust.Also i would appreciate it if anyone could give me some rough estimates on what i would be charged for a)stem seal replacement,b)engine rebuild,c)recon engine fitted.
