Help please new tyres needed already!!

Hi,

I only seem to have got about 15000 miles out of the tyres on my 2.0 TDI DSG fitted with Brigestone Potenza RE050A tyres, the majority of this trundling up and down the A1.

Can anyone suggest if this is about right, as I was hoping for a lot more miles?   :embarassed:

Also can anyone offer opinions as to a good, hard wearing tyre, that has good grip and not too much road noise please?

By a lot more you mean what? 5 10 20k?

 Tbh I get around 15k- 20k from Michelin Primacy's before they're near the wear blocks and 15k from your tyres isn't bad imo.
I don't mind the Michelin's as that's what it came with from the factory and mixed driving on a Octvia TDi.

I suppose I was expecting at least 20K.  I think I might get some Michelin Pilot Sport 3's, seem to have good all round reviews, can get a pair fitted for £260.

15k is not that bad really.
