Identifying Mk3 OEM wheels
« on: 31 July 2011, 17:04 »
These are the wheels off my old Mk3 16v, trying decide if they are worth finish refurbing and selling or weighing in for scrap? The scrap value is allegedly £40. Can't find any real info on them, they are VW stamped. Are they rare...?

They have Montreal stamped on the back with ET43(?)

Trying to decide if they are worth salvaging from some other dubber to enjoy.

Think they are the best looking OEM mk3 wheel I think.

Yeah from what I gather they were only fitted for 93-94 model.

They look alright!  Better than other mk3 wheels I've seen.

Tart them up and stick them on E38, list them as rare OEM wheels, probably make a fortune!

I had a set of those on my old Mk3 16v.
Preferred them to the more common ones.

Good thinking Shaun. Considering they were mass produced I've not seen another set locally. I like them, but not got 5x100 car anymore.

Dunno if I have the time to do them though as that is the main issue.
