Ignition coil photo added
« on: 29 July 2011, 21:06 »
Hi there

Picked up a new coil this afternoon but when I put it against the original that is fitted now it's about a 1/3 of the size, is this correct? also it has the king lead plug point, and a + and a - connector points, but again my current plastic fittings  push onto spade connectors( I think) will not fit to my new coil, do I need to change/modify the connectors or I have got something wrong here???

Hope u can understand my explanation ...

Thanks very much

Walchy

Sounds like you have been supplied the wrong one.

What car have you got.

Good call Wayne, glad you could help.

What car (engine)  have you got and where did you get the coil from?  Then we can deduce your problem.

From the description of your new coil it sounds like you have one for a polo!?

To be honest I'm not sure it's worth trying to figure it all out, I would contact ECP and just tell them you have the wrong one and get it replaced.
