drove a friends mini cooper 1.6 s, really hated them before, it pulls well and it can take corners at ease, although the power steering does feel fairly heavy, still don't really like the clock in the centre dashboard, get to drive it on the motorway tonight so lets see how good it is for long journeys..

Mate recently bought a cooper S not fan of the colour though. Sky blue. Probably the campest colour.

Hated mine, got rid after 6 months.

I had satnav though so the clocks go back to their normal position.

I noticed that the power steering is really heavy.  I stayed away from the cooper S after the whole mk3 mot problem. Decided stay VW until i can afford a S3/4

If you want a fun car that you will move on from after a short while i can highly recommend the Cooper S. I bought mine in winter after a MK5 R32 so hated its little engine, cabin, fwd...well the whole car. Being a mini though they have rock solid after sale prices, sold mine for what i paid after 6 months. Was very quick as well, was a JCW and could annoy some much bigger cars!

Got the S3 afterwards which makes the mini look like a toy now when i see them.

had a cooper s loved it but hated the mpg.. 200miles to a tank driving mixed.. 200bhp mine was with a remap and uprated pulley.. took roundabouts at stupid speeds ask Len.. and Nick from RTech lol
