I would go for the smoked indicator inserts however dont the mk4 headlights have the indicators in the headlights so you could wire them up to work and simply tint spray your original covers just an idea. Not sure on bulbs as i run a HID kit atm but there are some ultra bright bulbs you can buy from most places which im sure more people will be along for ideas. HID kits are going to be illegal next year for MOT'S so i will be on the look out for bright bulbs aswell

These ones have a side light where the mk4 indicator usually is, i like the indicators down the bottom.

would the smoked indicators still look good with the clear headlights??

Think the main reason is that Factory fit HIDs require auto levelling and washers, this is to stop the super bright HIDs blinding oncomming cars.

seems silly but i can see why they are doing it.

i was under the impression that if you fit self levelling and washers they would still be legal, all be it at great cost i am sure.

Tell me about it   i suspect there will be a company which will get some kind of license to make them legal as it would be a major business out of business i don't think its possible myself. Dubmeister springs to mind they love making things legal again

Yeah they would look fine i think   have a browse through some mk3 pictures on the mk3 section theres a sticky at the top with mk3 pics im sure there will be loads of examples in there
