Drive Shaft question
« on: 26 July 2011, 16:58 »
Over the last couple of months I have noticed a knocking noise coming from the engine area whilst reversing. I took it to a garage today as it needed a new tyre and they stated the knocking noise is down to the drive shaft.

I was unable to get a quote and was wondering what sort of price am I looking at to get a new driveshaft fitted?

Thanks

Luke

do the driveshaft yourself, it aint that hard. the hardest thing is getting the shaft out at the hub end.

You might not need a driveshaft, if it is a cv joint knocking then just replace the joint.
