A few people on here sell all you would need for a conversion anywhere from £300 - 1k + personally i would budget for about £450 if doing it yourself with mates etc or £800 to put it into a garage dont quote me on that though as it depends where you go if your doing that route then it maybe cheaper to just buy a vr6 or 16v and break your car

Ah seen! Yeah I wouild be doing it myself!

See I don't wanna break my car, although she's being a right biatch at the month I couldn't see myself doing it to her loooool

For a vr swap I'd obv need engine, box, loom, ecu, clocks, upgraded engine mounts? Brakes and suspension?

Best talking to f17bad really as hes just done it to his mates but yes you would need all of that and hydraulic clutch box off the vr6 or 16v i believe its definately a good upgrade and i would imagine if your handy with tools and knowledge of cars then you could do it over a weekend

yo need the Engine, the VR gearbox, the engine loom, the clocks and the gear linkage.

what year is your car ? if its not a early one like mine your life will be much easier because your pedal box and brake resovoir will already have the provisions to add the hydraulic set up

Id get new mounts but the ones you need are VR drivers side rear, the other 2 are the same as the GTI, if your really tight and yours are good you could re use but id replace with new. expensive at dealer but budget around £120 for them at Eurocarparts (german ones)

Exhaust wise you need the VR6 one or a 16v one
