Rear valance question
« on: 23 July 2011, 18:53 »
Hi peeps.
I'm spraying my rear valance on my mk4.
Done all the prep work and started painting. The
Paint code is l041. Will I still need to use lacquer
To seal the paint? Or leave it. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Lacquer helps to protect the paint and also to add shine to the finish. I would recommend lacquer as it will help match the finish of the rest of the car.

Without lacquer the colour wont match very well atall, and the paint will chip and flake off..

Hi. Sorry top resurrect an old thread, but Did you manage to get the rear valance finished?

The reason I ask is that I have a 4motion rear valance that needs to be done in L041. Could you possibly give me a list of what I need to buy in order to get this done.

Thanks in advance

Mate this thread is from 2011 and the OP has only 7 posts I'm saying he's long gone.

Get a few different grades of sand paper a tin of paint and a tin of clear coat. Sand it down till your happy and then paint it. Halfords should see get all you need.
