well you know how easy they are to work on... or not

however that particular one smacks of front end smash to me... with the bonnet replacement and front end respray?!  :undecided:

you'll find some tidy examples on the mk1oc http://www.vwgolfmk1.org.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=35

Looks ok but check for rust around the rear axle mountings.

The 1.5 is not that quick tbh

Mk1! ... Go you!

Looks ok but id shop around as Guy said.  Might be worth a look though if you can get to it easily enough.  I had a 1.5 once, they're ok but not great, for some reason my 1.3 felt more eager but then it could have been in better tune.

I will literally do anything I can to assist in this venture so keep me posted.

Exciting.

You can get stupidly low quotes on mk1s... Try a mk1, you might like it, plus I need more friends in this section.

I pay 167 notes for me and the missus on mine. She won't drive ot but was only another tenner to put her on... Admittedly that's only 3k miles a year but fully comp with all mods declared.
