slight dilemma

okay, so its nearly time to purchase a car...well, its a few months away, but money is a biatch.
Anyway, my missus has decided that im not allowed to purchase yet another golf, stating that ive allready had loads and theyv all been awful with things wrong.
I did point out to her that they were all MK3's and that everything was pretty much a fault with them  (sorry mk3 boys) and that to remedy the problem i would buy an mk2 golf instead...but no, shes having none of it.

So....
i need a list of potential cars that i could buy cheap and were guaranteed to be so horrific that i would be allowed to buy another golf.

she's insisting on 5 doors, because of the kids
petrol (old diesels sound awful, guy across the road from me has a mk3 golf diseasel)

oofffff, im getting some evil looks off her now. although i have told her that theres a choice of 3 or 4 cars that she can pick from

i suspect the golf will win! even though she wants a ford focus
