Hi everyone,

Not a complete noob as I've been registered on here for about 6 months from when I was looking at a mk2 GTI on here, but I've finally got a GTI, almost by accident!

I was selling my 106 GTI and a lad who came to see it had a mk3 8v GTI with a years test and 6 months tax that he wanted to part ex, bit of haggling and I was left with a wad of cash and a mk3 GTI with a few issues that I'm hopefully gonna sort and then chug around in it for a few months while I save for a Corrado  :smiley:



Has a dodgy idle, slight misfire under acceleration, awful tracking and a whiny gearbox, but should hopefully serve me well, only gave 250 quid for it anyway  :tongue:

I know, I thought that. I love mk2's but in this condition that would be over a grand easy!

Got a few issues with it that I need to sort, mainly the fact that I can't get over 24 mpg just now  :sad:

Liking it though, especially for what I paid...
