Or just spray the underneath with engine oil, used stuff would be thin enough

I've been thinking about this - i would probably not spray oil onto the car for the simple reason - you have to get it off at somepoint. and its not going to be a clean job, or an easy job.

on the negative side its going to drip onto the ground like anything, despite your best efforts.

That did occur to me but to be honest, I'm not worried about throwing oil everywhere as the drive is a working drive, not a pretty drive (in other words I haven't got block paving, just practical old concrete).
Removing the oil shouldn't prove to much of a problem either as I think I will probably end up going for a complete respray so it'll be removed in the process.

Hmmm.......perhaps I should check with the other half before I do throw the oil everywhere, I suspect she'll have other ideas.  ::)

Plus my wife will probably come speeding into the drive (as usual) and skid on the oil straight into the house...........maybe its not such a good idea  :o :o :o

could you imagine the damage it'd do. the car and house wouldn't look much better either. at least the nhs is free i s'pose.

36 in November.......did my knee in last year playing footy, got carried away (literally) after thinking we could beat Argentina too!!!
