Immobiliser fault code
« on: 17 July 2011, 18:37 »
Once in a while I got start up and the dash beeps and lights up with "immobiliser active" or something.... :undecided:
I'll take the key out, put it back in and I'm away.  This last happened about 2-3 weeks ago.
I've just scanned for codes to find the immobiliser fault code on there again, so deleted.  Its been on there a couple of times now.  What's that all about?

Cheers for that yo!
I've read about people whacking their key and it then working, but I though there was a bit more to it than that
I aint paying VW to resync the key as it works 99.9% of the time.
The coil seems a candidate, but I bet that's a beeeee-atch to replace!?  Will monitor to see if it gets worse.
