Ah well that's good then, only experience I've had with a tdi polo was in a 2006 model, courtesy car.  Soon clocked I couldn't live with one, I'm too big, wasn't comfortable and found it rather boat like.  Not sure if this was a bad year for a polo. Interior quality I felt was also poor on later models.

every car is tight for me 

to be fair knowing the mileage and last 2 owners  the old girl inside is solid. 

handles like a dream but it has been DH'd 

and the driving style is different from a 1.8T but adds to the experience. 

Knowing my journey to work is a mix of 30,40 and 50 zones, all single carriage way, it will serve its purpose well
