Thank you, yes she is a happy bunny tonight and she's not one for getting excited about cars.

Does this count as the Mk6 isn't strictly mine ?   The Golf is the wife's and it remains in the family :)

But this has replaced the Golf in my affections this weekend. It replaced a much loved 500 that I had the first weekend of their launch nearly 6 years ago. Sorry, I just love them....

It's an Abarth 595 Competizione.

My uncle's just got a job with Jaguar/Land Rover, and gets 25% off for friends and family.

Brand new F type for £43k... tempting!

Can he get that on the F type already ?  I know the new RR Sport is off limits currently for F&F ?

Not sure tbh, and it's a bit of a pipe dream at the moment. I'd be happy to wait a bit for 25% off :)

hey my cousin also works for jaguar land rover as a designer.  i don't qualify to order but i'm using my mum who is his aunt to buy it for me.  he says all i need is some "voucher" but i have to wait another 3 months to see if the initial orders have gone through for the new range rover hse.  apparently its 20%.  at the moment its stalemate since i've just fully paid off my gti, now gathering some deposit and waiting for the green light to order....i hope i can order one in 3 months time.

I see official details of the M235i have been released, more of a looker than the one but starting at £34k is a bit of a premium over the M135i (all be it you get 20bhp more), by the time you add the auto and some toys, they have performance brakes and a proper LSD to tick boxes you could easily be in for 40k

That front end redesign is a massive improvement, looks nice but steep on the price as you say.

I've been happy with my Mk6 Golf GTD and have decided to upgrade to the Mk7 Golf GTI DSG Performance. I looked into the BMW M135i but the spec I wanted was a bit too much!
Golf MK7 GTI Performance DSG, Carbon Grey, Pro Nav, Dyna Audio, Leather, Winter Pack, ACC, Park Assist, Keyless Entry, Rear Camera.
