You'll just have to redeem yourself by doing something nice for her - spa day perhaps?

This probably doesn't apply here, but I've never understood this type of female reasoning. Mate was getting it in the ear from his wife for spending money that they hadn't really good on a new car, but all was fine when he agreed to spend a similar amount on a new kitchen as well.

They then wonder why the country is up the swanny...

Hmm.....a little generalisation and condescension going on here, but given this is a male dominated forum, I can live with it.

That's because you know we are right.  Besides, you were the one that suggested the spa day.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

of course you are

Didn't sound like she was keen on that 'necessary' trip to Frankfurt

And isn't that how it really works. Husband wants to do something he likes and vice versa, the wife......give and take and all that.  Not suggesting he spends £35k on a spa day

i'm off to the Frankfurt motorshow on Friday to look at this as a replacement for the Ed35

The R looks sick as. Not a fan of the Mk7 at all, but in the R guise it's the best looking Golf I've seen! Defo think those wheels set it off nicely. May well have to get one of these some day!

The wheels on that R remind me of the seat leon cupra R 19" alloys I nearly fitted to my mk6.
