Pick up my Edition 30 on 1st October. Dealer is servicing, new cambelt ( its 4 years old ) 2 new tyres, plus refurbing the pescara alloys.

Very very pleased. Its clean, tidy, solid and no sqeaks. Only 27k miles and 1 owner. Feels more solid than my Mk6.

Will post pics as soon as I can and work on my signature.

Already planning a remap to 300bhp which by all accounts makes it the car it should have been and in touch with the more 'exotic' cars on the road.

Third of a price of a M135i as well !

Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :

Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6  - Now sold and replaced with :

Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long

Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement

With my R coming up for three years old I looked at another similar R, but when arranging finance I found that a basic spec new RS3 was virtually the same a month (but with a higher residual value).

This got me thinking and thinking (particularly of that 2.5TFSI engine and 340bhp mainly ) and when I found out my local Audi dealer had one in the showroom I was hooked

So I'm now the owner of this Daytona Grey RS3

I was sorry to see my R go, but will probably be back for the Mk 7 R which is sounding pretty good.

If anyone is looking for a well loved secondhand R I can recommend my old one which is now for sale here :

and feel free to pm me if you want any more details.  It really is in mint condition and I'd love to see it go to another forum member   :-
