^^^^ Its like wanting a ride on the local tart because she's the best in bed and then thinking do i want be seen down the local with her and put a ring on it. Have a test drive and thats it.

I do quite like the saloon though, so if they do a facelifted saloon version i could be very tempted.

I'm well impressed with that 123d engine Doc. Very smooth and quiet (for a diseasel) and does 50 plus on the motorway. Nearly 300 torques makes it very flexible and quick. A different sort of quick to the GTi but quick nevertheless.

The more I look at that new BMW 135 the closer I come to getting one.

Unless the MK7 comes in at under £25k I can see a lot of people going for the 135, I certainly am really considering it....

Update: I'm not sure how realistic £29k is for the 135 as the current one is more than that, so maybe a typo?

Has the 1 series got more room inside than a 3 series ?

I had a 320d Touring out on hire last week and couldn't believe how little room there was in it compared to the Golf.
With three adults and their luggage it was a bit of a squeeze, no room in the front at all and the boot, even though it was an estate didn't hold much either.

I was never so pleased to see my car again, even if the 320d had been 10K less than the golf I would still take the Golf any day.
