mk2 golf gti cuts out when warm

hi guys wondering if you could possibly help me out ive just recently bought myself a nice mk2 gti and since ie got the car it starts up mited ticks over and revs n drives mintd til it heats up roughly a few miles drive then it cuts out and wont start again til it cools down  :angry: :angry:,i have changed distributor cap,rotor arm,new coil,renewed all the earths new knock sensor and still the same its driving me round the bend any ideas would be appreciated

i have been told it may have something to do with 1 of the temp senders

should the spark from the coil be more blue than orange ????

Try a new fuel pump relay those are the exact symptoms its happened to me twice in ten years, its worth a try coz it may be as simple as that.

new coil? mate had the same problem the hall sender inside was fooked

ok small update fitted new coil ,fuel pump relay and still the same getting spark but weak by time gets to plugs , getting fuel ,already burned a starter out trying to get the thing to go ,3 days of turning it over and not starting then today it burst into life ticking over revving up minted went to put it into gear and low and behold cut out and wont start again

Is it a digi? If so the Blue coolant sensor can be crucial to the cars running, though I'm not 100% sure if they are the symptoms you'd get.. I'd start by checking all wiring connections in the engine bay, give them all a good poke / tug and check they are all good.. If the car runs 100% sweet when going I'd say its prob not a mechanical part broken, more likely electrically based.
