Wrong one arrived in the post and he didn't have the other one

Downer, does it have to be OEM? Could PM you details, if I can find them, for some suitable S/s fuel line that won't break the bank.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Thanks for the offer, but the line goes from the fuel filter all the way to the engine bay so I reckon I am better getting a decent used one.

I have some emails out to people on ebay, and there are some complete pump assemblies with fuel lines on there so I should be able to get one even if I have to buy the pump as well.

Just want to start it

Just bought a complete fuel pump assembly with fuel lines for £60 delivered off ebay so hopefully this will finally sort out my fuel leak....  (and I will have a spare pump)

Got the fuel lines on the car and a new fuel filter, tried to start the car and its turning over, I have fuel (at the metering head at least) and there is a spark - will it start?

The battery was a bit low and it wasn't turning over that fast but I thought it would fire. I have stuck the battery on charge and will try again when its done.

One thing that has crossed my mind is that there is a full tank of fuel, but its been in it for at least a year, anyone know how long fuel takes to go bad?

It runs!!!

Put a brand new starter motor on it, turned over for a bit then fired, happy days...

The full tank of petrol that is in it is fine!!!

Great progress, this will be back together in no time....

You have made me want to check my pump and accumulator setup again now.... it wasn't looking great the last time i looked if I remember.
