Winter tyres - yes already!
« on: 13 July 2011, 19:06 »
I have a friend who can get me winter tyres cheap but I need some steels or cheap alloys to put em on. Is there anywhere I can buy a full set of 16" steels from relatively cheaply or a set of 16" alloys?

All help appreciated!

Just managed to buy a set of 16" Imolas with 4mm of tread on each for £150 buy it now on ebay. You might say I've overpaid but tbh I wasn't up for messing around with auctions, these are nearby so I can collect and they're the same price as I'd have paid for the set of steelies that were on ebay the other day so I'm really happy and I think they're the official winter wheel for the GTI? - according to ETKA there is a recommended wheel and I think it's the 16" Imola - can anyone confirm?

Got to be done, I couldn't get my car moving at all last winter, thank goodness the school where I work was shut else I'd have been in big trouble!
