Buyin a CAT D registered car

what are your opinions on this?

currently looking for a an a3, the one ive found is cat d registered, dnt know if i should purchase  :undecided:

WALK AWAY ! do not buy !! If you must buy better check your insurance company will insure you as many wont  :cool:

A bought a CAT C write off, sometimes you can get realy lucky. Mine has hardley any damage they just sent to a rip off body work shop... :rolleyes:

No insurance issues with mine, as long as they know it's been repaired or at least road worthy.

lol, cat d is minor stuff normally, a stolen recovered can be a cat d, find out what caused it to be a cat d

the damage was to the rear passenger side wing as far as i know and it has all been sorted and approved by audi  :undecided:

I'd say it would be fine, but you would have to look at the paper work.

I wouldn't have any problems with a Cat D, but there are loads of A3s out there so unless it's really cheap and is in fantastic low mile condition then there must be others out there.

Also factor in what you plan to do with it, if you are going to keep it a few years and run it until it croaks then it's resale value isn't an issue.  If you plan to move it on after a year or less then think about what it would be worth then and how much you would be paying now.
