In that case, an uprated SMIC with a cold air feed would be easier.

Forge do some sexy ones.

The compressor for your air con sits right where you want your FMIC to be... Unless you get a short FMIC there won't be any room.

The SMIC is underneath the battery and is quite diddy and old fashioned... So you'd want a slightly bigger one from www.forgemotorsport.com as well as a lower bumper vent from FK and a bit of tubing to direct cold air onto the intercooler.

May be worth looking at induction and exhaust if you're looking for a bit more, but you won't get a lot until you chip it and change to bigger injectors.

yeah ill be looking at some forced induction, not sure about the zhaust system yet....then looking into doing the injectors as you recommended with the map

pff whats the different with aircon or with out
oh yeah there is one uve got less room to do it but everything can be done ive had one on mine

Forge ones will cost more than you paid for your car

Side mount is crap, you want one like in the pics above, although that one has had loads of the bumper removed which you dont need to

here is mine on my GTI with S3 engine

I used a the twin rad fans off a car which had aircon and the aircon was put in the bin

you have to trim bumper in a few places and also the Rad housing











Size works really well for me, although i have more than double your power.  You dont wanna go too big or you will have a sh!t load of lag..
