It's a very clean and tidy example but for 8K i'd be looking for a small light MKII GTI.

Isn't that the car that someone on here, travelled a long way to view, and wasn't impressed, and went home
Porsche owner, flew in to Brum from Ireland iirc... ring any bells

That's does ring bells!  Is it the same one?....

Reconditioned engine or not that mileage is a sh*t load for an 8k car... it must be perfect everywhere!

As said, not the most desirable colour or spec for a mk1

Oh and why bother comparing a mk5 to this for the money, its no comparison.

pfft that is a lot of money for that car, especially with all those miles on it

how about this then for £8k? Possibly the nicest mk1 that I know of...

75 Swallowtail, 25,00miles with Full Service History (the owner used to write down all the miles travelled and petrol added in a log-book), Original Paint in VGC, original interior, BBS RS's

8k? Goodness me!

You can get a Mk5 for 5k!

I'd have a Mk1 over a Mk5 any day of the week.
