Not 100% sure but you may / will need to split the bottom ball joint to get the shaft out.

High lol 133k but the mileage didnt put me off as it has all audi service history apart from last one.. my leon was on 173k when i sold it and i had no problems whatsoever run like a dream.. This one will be sweet once the niggles are all sorted out hopefully.. then i can go for more power once the essentials are done

That's OK then... wasn't thinking it in bad way as we all know that's nothing on that motor, was just curious as to what mileage it had for CV's to be pain, seems right then.

Right well a friend (mechanic) had a quick look under my car.. so far i need replacing when i can afford..

The rear dogbone mount needs replacing..
Both anti roll bar links need replacing they look brand new but the seals? are shot..
the tie rod ends were loose so tracking needs looking at
the steering rack gaitors look old and worn out
cambelt is due in 7-8k

Feel like this could end up expensive but atleast should have a solid car after.. im going to swap the dogbone mount first as the engine is knocking when i let off

Then work my way round the car fixing bits as i go
