mk4 golf gti aum or agu

hi i was thinking of getting another mk4 golf gti but my last 1 had a aum or agu engine cant remember and it had the problem with the engine light comeing on and the car driveing like rubish once on. changed lots of things and it never cleared it any 1 any ideas and what would u surgest.

any coments welcome thank u.... :undecided:

There was fault with the car, and by the sounds of it you had an aum, as it's rare for agu to give dct light then start to have issues.
