Mk1 and Mk4 Gti Newbie from Wolves
« on: 10 July 2011, 15:58 »
Hi guys

Im the proud owner of a 1983 mk1 golf gti, a mk4 golf gti 1.8t, and a 1977 mk1 polo.

The mk4 may be up for sale in the next week or two, bought new in sept 2000 by myself, Indigo blue 5dr always garaged when not in use, its an X reg with only 37k miles, fsh, all mot's, inc new cam belt and water pump 1k miles ago, probably the best original condition low milage mk4 gti out there.
Some of you may have seen it in the Golf gti concourse section at Stamford Hall back in may.

The mk1 golf is sat in the garage awaiting a complete respray which has been put on hold because just purchased a mk1 polo.

The Polo is a 1977 R reg in yellow and is in stuning condition with only 27k original miles and 2 previous same family owners.
The plan with polo is an engine conversion (AFH 1.4 16v) slam it with a nice set of retro dished alloys.

Cheers Andy

Its ready for paint, im gonna need at least £2k for a decent paint job.
If anyone can recommend a reasonably priced decent bodyshop/painter around Wolverhampton/ West mids please let me know

I'm not far from you and not sure about one as not really looked.  seems like you have a healthy budget though so shouldn't be too hard.
