Cheers Wayne :afro:

So after a lot of swearing, a bit of blood, a new dipstick guide an a litre of coolant later I got my thermostat changed this morning. Temp now sits bang on 90, idle is no longer lumpy and my mpg has increased from averaging 23.5mpg on the way to work to 35mpg

Soo...after sorting the thermostat a little over 2 weeks ago, was driving to work on Tuesday and guess what? Temp gauge didn't move from cold

The following day the engine warning light came on (this picture was after 11 miles of stop-start driving so should be nice and warm):

So I scanned for faults just to make sure nothing else was to blame and this is what was shown:

The sh!tty ECP thermostat barely lasted a fortnight!

I immediately got a Genuine one on order which I fitted earlier, I decided to drain and reuse the coolant as it was practically new:

Anyone spot the problem with the old thermostat?

Refund i hope?

Been dealing with them via PM on here, they offered an OE replacement to which I said now and that I wanted a refund. Waiting to hear back from them....

So, most of this afternoon has been spent at Only Charged Dubs. Had cambelt/waterpump changed, oil/filter & pickup pipe as well as fuel filter changed.

I also drove a mate's 3.2 MK1 Audi TT and I want one!

Just ordered myself a non-res Milltek cat-back to replace the 3" system that's currently on it. I can't stand the drone of it as it is. I'm sticking with the 3" downpipe and decat so need to figure out how to join the milltek to the decat

Going to get a 4motion rear valance as well to show the tips off
