This car really does scrub up well.

I'll doubt I'll ever have a need for a mk4 in my life but if I did, I'd want it to look like like this.  Looks great, love the spoiler.

Not much to report recently other than it needs to have money spent on it

It's due a service including cambelt/waterpump, rear beam bushes are completely shot and the coolant temp sensor has had it. Also pretty sure the sh!tty JOM coilovers have had it

Other than that it served me well in the snow the other week, I managed a 15 miles journey home at midnight along the M1 which was covered in snow!

It ticked over 67k miles recently as well:

This morning I fitted a Mk5 rear wiper as I was sick of not being able to see out the back:

I also went to change the spark plugs and found oil in the plug chamber and on the coilpacks...new gasket required, will most likely happen tomorrow

Cheers Danny, fmic & turbo will come eventually. Not got rid of SAI yet, got no cat so it's pointless running it. I've got a week off work this week so might do it later in the week

Yeah it's filthy, outside tap is broken at the moment so can't wash it. Living next to a building site doesn't help either

Yeah, don't know why they bothered with them at all tbh

Right then, productive morning today. First I changed the coolant temp sensor, old one didn't look too bad but temp gauge has been reading strangely and I've had a bit of a cold start problem and high idle. No idea if it's sorted yet because I haven't been out in it.

Then I discovered some night scratches that have appeared in the last couple of weeks:

Anyway, yesterday I sprayed my spare rocker cover black:

I lacquered it this morning, then swapped it over while changed the valve cover gasket and rocker cover gasket. Old gaskets looked a bit worse for wear, both were leaking oil.

It's such a messy engine bay, going to stick the covers back on later.

Next I started to clean the wheels, so took one off, cleaned it up and applied some sealant. I then got bored, put it back on and came back inside

I'll probably clean it properly tomorrow.
