No,  as the boot pivot point doesn't change and struts stop it swinging  backwards that far.

I have an aftermarket spoiler and looks similar to that and it catches the aerial when I open it fully

Never seen one of those

Does it touch the aerial when you open the boot?

No it doesn't, I've got a shorter aerial from a Polo fitted though

You won't have seen one before because they are as rare as rocking horse sh!t

Right then, not done much to this recently.

Changed the arb bushes & outer cv boot last weekend.

I gave it a massive clean the week before last. Due to the shed break in and being busy before Christmas, this was the first clean in over 2 months

Car was filthy to begin with:

Started with a rinse off:

Followed by snow foam:

Dirt coming off the wheels:

While the foam was dwelling I went around all door shuts, lights, etc. with a Valet Pro brush and some quick detailer.

Wheels were then given a spray of Autosmart Smart Wheels and agitated:

The car was rinsed off then the lower half and bonnet were coated in Autofinesse Citrus Power:

Next was Bilberry Wheel cleaner on the wheels:

Car washed:

Coffee time:

Clayed the whole car using Autofinesse clay:

Most panels had a bit of contamination:

Cleaned up nicely though:

The boot (new to the car last month) had a huge amount of contamination:

I then taped up the car and it looked like this after a couple of passes of Menzerna Power Finish on an Orange Pad:

I then ran out of time/light but finished off with a couple of coats of Poorboys Natty's Blue Wax.

I then ripped out the interior trim that was wrapped in aluminium and re wrapped it in carbon:

Again no pics of it fitted yet.

I also changed rear discs and pads yesterday, old discs were quite lipped:

and the pads were crumbing away:

Cheers, it's going in for some paint in the next couple of months to tidy up some bits that are annoying me

Finish looked great for about a day, it's so dirty now that the entire front numberplate is black. I can't wait until the summer when it'll stay clean

The clay removes contaminants such as brake dust, tar, bug residue etc. This gives the surface a perfectly smooth finish that washing alone won't achieve. I like to do it before I get the DA out for a proper going over
